Battlefields of Slash

Just a reminder, if you want to be able to read the fic that was on the Battlefields of Slash website, the mailing list on Yahoo is the only way to get 90% of the fic.

On the 19th, the Battlefields archive (www.thebattlefields.net) will close. This is basically to let you know that if there's any fic on the site you want, now is the time to save it to your harddrive, as once the 19th ends, it's all gone.

For 9 years, the Battlefields has been a huge repository of lesser known fandoms and authors, and I've enjoyed running it immensely. As with everything, though, all good things must come to an end.

The Battlefields has a LJ community at community.livejournal.com/bfslash so feel free to post fic there and to this mailing list as well. The mailing list will also continue to run.

I want to thank everyone who has helped and supported the Battlefields over the years. It's been a fantastic journey and I wish you all the absolute best in the future.

The site is now (mostly) back online. The new URL is http://www.thebattlefields.net . There's still some backup work to do and reuploading, but the majority of the site is now live and good to go. Please bare with me as I finish getting everything up and then there will be an update of new fic not yet added to the archive.

Okay, it might take me a while to fix up the bugs, but I'll get there eventually.

The Lord of the Rings section which was full of glitches has been repaired. All bugs are ironed out as of now. All stories should be accessible.

RPS section has been cleaned up.

CSI section has been cleaned up.

Other fandoms section has been cleaned up.

Doctor Who has been removed from other fandoms and has its own section.

Babylon 5 has been cleaned up, fics been recoded so that text is a legible colour. (omg!)

Fic recs has been removed.

I'm hoping after the weekend of the Potterdamerung and Wankapocalypse to be able to update the Harry Potter and Doctor Who sections and launch the Supernatural section. If the internet doesn't explode, of course.
